Neil T. Nelson
Neil focuses his practice in real estate, estate and tax planning, business succession planning, and general civil litigation. As the Pope County Attorney, Neil serves as legal counsel to the Pope County Board of Commissioners and provides legal advice to the Pope County department heads.
Neil grew up in Lowry, Minnesota, and graduated from Minnewaska Area High School. Neil went on to graduate cum laude from the University of St. Thomas. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law, Grand Forks, North Dakota, in 2007.
Neil is active in the community. He currently serves as the President of the Glenwood Rotary Club and is a board member of Eagle Bank and the Laker Foundation. Neil is the past president of the 10th District Bar Association and a past board member of the Pope County Humane Society and the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce.

Troy E. Nelson
Troy graduated from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2014. Since that time, he has spent a great deal of time prosecuting crimes that occur in Pope County as the Assistant Pope County Attorney.
Troy also spends time working on Wills and Estate Planning, as well as various aspects of Business and Real Estate Law.
Born and raised in Lowry, MN, Troy enjoys the many outdoor activities that Pope County has to offer. Troy also enjoys establishing personal relationships with clients and embraces the opportunity to be a problem-solver.

Bruce D. Obenland
Bruce has served clients for nearly 50 years. He focuses his practice primarily in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, business entities, estate and tax planning, trusts and estates, and business succession planning.
Bruce is a 1969 summa cum laude graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota. He earned his Doctor of Law degree in 1972 from the Cornell University School of Law, Ithaca, New York. He has served as City Attorney of Glenwood, Minnesota, for nearly his entire career, and was the County Attorney for Pope County, Minnesota, for many years. Bruce has received the highest AV rating for legal ability and professional ethics from Martindale-Hubbell.
Always active in community and legal affairs, Bruce is a member and past president of the 16th District Bar Association, an Admiral of Glenwood Waterama, and a past president of the Glenwood Rotary Club. He greatly enjoys working with clients in his office overlooking Lake Minnewaska.
